About Us

To improve patient care we improved communication

myBeepr was founded back in 2016, by a group of doctors and families of patients, who knew that by improving the communication between healthcare professionals, the level of care could also be improved.

Their combined experience, training and very personal stories went into crafting every aspect of myBeepr. This ensures it is of benefit to every member of the healthcare community in Australia today, and is changing the lives of patients and their families.

Krupa and her sister Kruti witnessed first-hand the communication problem in Australian healthcare whilst caring for her terminally ill father. Over several years she saw her father being managed by multiple care teams, with time pressures and ineffective technology leading to miscommunication. She co-founded the myBeepr movement because she believes that improving communication is the cornerstone of effective patient care. Krupa is heavily involved in Australia’s start-up scene, winner of the 2017 She Starts program and the HCF Catalyst accelerator and being a panellist for a number of entrepreneurial events.

As a practising surgeon, Dr Vikram has seen first-hand the impact that inefficiencies in Australian hospitals have on care, and how they can put health care professionals at risk. Vikram, through he’s extensive research on the topic of ineffective communication in healthcare, became passionate about solving the problem and identified that a simple communication solution could have an enormous impact,

Dr Vikram studied at the University of Melbourne and undertook general surgical training at St Vincent's Hospital in Melbourne and further subspecialist training in colorectal surgery. He has a special interest in colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease.

For Kruti, myBeepr is an incredibly personal project. She like Krupa became passionate about communications in healthcare after her father was discharged with the wrong medication because of miscommunication amongst the multiple medical teams looking after him.

Kruti is a former consultant for Goldman Sachs and Deloitte and specialised in turning around healthcare and financial companies. With this experience she also helped multiple start-ups and was named the 2017 winner of She Starts, HCF Catalyst and Melbourne Health Acceleratory start-up programs
